I have personally met Mr. Jethmalani on many occasions. He is very warm and intellectual person. He has been advocating on pro bon basis for a long time. Recent example was the case Delhi CM Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.
Recently he has offered free administrations to the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for its situation for reclamation of the varsity’s minority status which is pending under the steady gaze of the Supreme Court, a senior AMU official said.
Respecting Jethmalani’s signal, Media Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor Shafey Kidwai said he had been nearly related in the past with AMU on all issues identified with the fight in court for reclamation of its minority status.
The college’s case is booked for hearing on April 4. It is being taken care of by senior supporter Harish Salve.
A course on ‘Acknowledgment of AMU as a Minority Institution’ is slated to be held at the Indian Law Institute in Delhi on February 27.
It is being sorted out by a NGO, Voice of Humanity.
As indicated by an official discharge by the coordinators, the class would be managed by previous Chief Justice of India AM Ahmadi and Jethmalani would be the Chief Guest.
